Approaching each design with almost 30 years field experience in construction. Starting first as a carpenter in the 90’s I learned to build homes from the ground up. Eventually moving on to general contracting, I started designing my first homes in the early 2000’s. In 2010, I took all the experience gained and dedicated myself to what I was most passionate about, custom home design.
Understanding how homes are built, I approach each design with a focus on building wisely. Extracting value out of design decisions, and working the best we can to eliminate costly mistakes which can happen bringing a concept to life. Not only focusing on beauty and balance, but also approaching the designs with the goal of keeping the clients budget in mind.

Design Process
All of my designs are done in 3D CAD, first starting with lot analysis. Then understanding and utilizing the site to achieve the clients goals. Working from their inspiration, wants and needs, I first try to understand and sort their goals in order of importance. Pointing out possible conflicts in their wants/needs list. From that direction I then craft floor plans and elevations that balance all of the client's wishes.
During this entire process, the clients budget plays a large role in decision making. Having a thorough understanding of the actual costs to build helps greatly keep the project on track. Using extensive 3D, the plan is developed with the client understanding each step along the way. Mistakes in plans are costly and using 3D CAD design through the entire process, makes costly miscalculations much less likely.
When the plan is completed, the client is already familiar with how the spaces will work in the real world. Building can be started with full confidence that they are indeed building the home they wish to build.
